Children's Ministry Lesson for April 5

Children's Ministry News

Happy Easter! We will have an Easter egg hunt a few minutes after service this Sunday for all of our children's classes. Bring your basket to collect your eggs!

For this Sunday, we will have classes for:
  • Gospel Tots - ages 1 - 2 Years Old
  • Gospel Tykes - ages 2 - 5 Years Old
  • Gospel Kids - K - 2nd Grade
  • Gospel Students - 3rd - 5th Grade
We use the Gospel Project for Kids curriculum for the Children's Ministry at GLC.  The Gospel Project for Kids is a Christ-centered ongoing weekly Bible study resource that looks at the big picture of God's story, the story of redemption through Jesus Christ. Each week, kids of all ages will follow a chronological timeline of Bible events while learning how each story points to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And now for this week's lesson...

Big Picture Answer: Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, who came to earth to save us.

Gospel Gems to Discuss at Home

Gospel Tots (ages 1 & 2 years old)
  • Jesus died and came back to life to save people from sin. When we trust in Jesus, we become part of His family forever.
Gospel Tykes (ages 2 - 5 years old)
  • Jesus died on the cross to rescue sinners. Jesus rose from the dead and is alive! When we trust in Jesus, we become part of His family and follow Him.
Gospel Kids (K - 2nd grade)
  • While the people were crucifying Jesus, He asked His Father to forgive them. Even though Jesus never sinned, He went to the cross for our sin. Jesus forgives everyone who repents and believes He died and rose again.
Gospel Students (3rd - 5th grade)
  • While the people were crucifying Jesus, He asked His Father to forgive them. Even though Jesus never sinned, He went to the cross for our sin. Jesus forgives everyone who repents and believes He died and rose again.
